Who's for records, but who simply walk

Today, London - the most athletic, fashionable and referred to in the media city. To it attracted the attention of the entire planet. If you're not there yet, buy a ticket immediately. At the Olympics, however, did not have time, but enjoy this romantic metropolis it is able.

About London, much can be said with the definition of "most." This is the most populated city in Europe (though after Moscow). It is the oldest subway in the world: the first branch earned in 1863 - two years after the fact, as in Russia abolished serfdom. Finally, it is the only city in the world, where three Olympic Games were held: in 1908, 1948 and the present, the 30th Summer Olympics in a row.

In this regard, the added attractions of London. Chief of the newest tourist sites - the Olympic Stadium for 80 thousand spectators. However, after the close of the Olympics are going to be reduced to 25,000 seats.

The last time London has changed so dramatically on the eve of our entry into the Earth in the III millennium: then appeared in several notable buildings. Among them - the Ferris wheel London Eye («London Eye"), the tower, "Mary ex" (which is more often referred to as a cucumber, if not indecent), Norman Foster and the authorship of his own City Hall, like a beautifully sliced egg. As well as a pedestrian bridge "Millennium."

However, tourists prefer to still the good old traditional London - a trip to Westminster Abbey and the Tower, a walk in Hyde Park, shopping on Oxford Street and Bond Street.

One of the main tourist sites - the Protestant Cathedral of St. Paul - was conceived as opposed to the main Catholic church of St. Peter in the Vatican. London church, of course, smaller. But as for pathos and luxury (that is, that in the first place in the despised Catholics Protestants), in which the Protestant Church, it seems, tends to catch up with his Catholic "enemy."
